Last Sunday, I came home to a dead mouse with his leg caught in a trap I had set on the other side of the room. I felt so horrible that he (or she) had died a slow and painful death, attempting to crawl to safety with the trap dragging behind him. I thought I was being more humane steering clear of glue traps. Maybe it doesn’t makes no difference. When I encountered another mouse Tuesday morning, I tried to pay a little more respect.

I’m currently working on a story about the man who build the fancy cat houses on Newark Avenue in Flatbush.  Unfortunately, the kittens currently residing there are most active after dark.

March 22 – Today I had the pleasure of photographing the BUILD Youth Entrepreneurship Investor Pitch at the High School for Innovation in Advertising and Media in Canarsie, Brooklyn.  BUILD is a youth entrepreneurship and college access program for high school students.  The program uses entrepreneurship as a vehicle for teaching students the 21st Century skills critical to success in high school, college, and career.  By the end of their 9th grade year, BUILD students will have developed and launched their own small business.
